This center of Islam in Korea is located in Hannam-dong.
Seoul Central Masjid was completed in 1976 at the height of construction boom in the Middle East. The land was provided by the government. Saudi Arabia and other countries of the Middle East made donations for the construction of the masjid.
At Seoul Central Masjid, ceremonies of worship are held five times a day. The masjid also provides diverse information and facilities for Muslims. Books and videotapes on Islam as well as free language course in Arabic are available to help better understanding of Islamic culture.
