Foreign schools
There is no restriction for foreigners in sending their children to Korean schools. However, most foreign parents send their children to foreign schools.
In Korea, there are many private foreign schools from primary to high school levels.

Korean schools

To enroll child to Korean schools, the child's Certificate of Alien Registration has to be submitted. In the case of middle and high schools, application must be made to the districtoffice of education where the school is located. Grade is decided by the office in consideration of the student's level.

High proficiency in Korean is arequirement. Foreigners in Yongsan-gu who want to send their children to Korean schools have to contact Seobu District Office of Education. (Tel. middle school: 02-745-5895 / high school: 02-399-9366).
